From Waltham Cottage: Dear amazing congregation of St Martins Church – our heartfelt thanks for the lovely gifts you donated. This year more than 90 gifts were wrapped and we were thrilled to have such good quality gifts to give out, especially for men and older boys. Your continued support throughout the year with the food donations and with the Christmas presents is extremely appreciated by the community. God bless, Adrienne & Cheryl.

From Rev Jannet, Beckenham Methodist: A very happy new year to all at St Martins. It was a blessing to share services during this summer break. Thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers when I lost my brother Chenjerai Mudavanhu. I feel really humbled that you had me in your prayers.

(From 7pm Sunday evening to approximately 11am on Tuesday morning.) The cost for the weekend is $75 which includes food and accommodation.

I will light candles

Candles of joy, despite all sadness,
Candles of hope where despair keeps watch.
Candles of courage for fears ever present,
Candles of peace for tempest-tossed days,
Candles of grace to ease heavy burdens,
Candles of love to inspire all my living,
Candles that will burn all the year long.
